Growmi
What do you do when your own body is both your biggest tool and your biggest obstacle? That is the question Growmi keeps asking, one cramped room at a time, as the worm-like creature's body gets longer with every star it collects, which makes the exact same corridor that was easy an hour ago suddenly too tight to pass through.

Growing a Body You Have to Manage in Growmi
Growmi starts out only three squares long, which is short enough to slip through gaps that become impassable later. Every star picked up adds to that length permanently, so a room designed around a short body can turn into a genuine problem once enough stars have been collected elsewhere.
This is the game's central trick: progress is also a constraint. A longer Growmi can reach switches and ledges a shorter one could never touch, but it can no longer thread the narrow one-square gaps that used to be a shortcut.
Players who rush through collecting every visible star early sometimes get stuck, unable to squeeze back through a corridor that used to be easy.
Magnets, Undo, and the Rest of Growmi's Toolkit
A magnet-pull ability unlocks partway through, letting Growmi attach itself to magnetic boxes and drag them into position, which several of the later puzzle rooms depend on entirely.
The space bar drop is the other tool worth knowing early. Tapping it sends Growmi straight down onto whatever platform is below, which is faster and more precise than walking off an edge and hoping the fall lines up.
Mistakes are rarely punished harshly. The undo key steps back through recent moves one at a time, so testing a risky magnet pull or an awkward squeeze through a gap costs nothing more than a few seconds if it goes wrong.
- Arrow keys — move Growmi one square at a time
- Space bar — drop immediately onto the platform below
- U key — undo the last move
- Magnet pull — attaches to magnetic boxes once unlocked
- How long does Growmi get by the end of the game? Body length keeps extending with every star collected, and since stars are scattered across the whole map rather than one linear path, final length depends heavily on how thoroughly earlier areas were explored.
- What happens if I collect a star I need later but can't reach it? The map hub shows which chambers have already been cleared, so backtracking to a missed star is always possible rather than something the game locks you out of.
- Is the magnet pull required or optional? Several later rooms are built specifically around attaching to magnetic boxes to reach a button, so once it unlocks it stops being optional for progress.
Growmi turns a simple growing-body gimmick into a puzzle game that keeps rewriting its own rules: the magnet pull that opens a switch in one chamber is often the same reach that blocks the narrow gap you used to get there. That tension, more than any single puzzle, is what makes finishing a chamber here feel earned.
